Sebastian’s First Halloween!

There are a lot of things I’m excited about in motherhood, but I didn’t think celebrating baby’s first halloween was going to be as exciting as it was. Growing up I never really cared for halloween. Yea, getting candy was pretty cool but my mom never let me eat any of it, so trick or treating was kind of pointless for me. I never really had any cool costumes- I was always a soccer player (using my school soccer jersey, so creative). And I think I only went to 2 halloween parties my whole life.

I wanted halloween to be different for Sebastian than it was for me. I want him to grow up excited for the holiday, and have fun doing halloween activities like carving a pumpkin and decorating the house. I want him to be able to dress up as anything he’d like, no limits and eat whatever candy he wants.

Except for his first one, this one is all me. I pick the costume and I use baby to get & eat candy. No ragrets (gold star for you if you know where that’s from lol).

Can your childhood even begin if you weren’t a pumpkin for your first halloween??

So it’s not really a pumpkin costume, but more of a pumpkin jumpsuit. And this was a daytime outfit and not his trick or treating outfit. Got it from Carters for about $13, now on sale for less than $7! Stock up for next year ladies.

Being that Sebastian is only 4 months old, there isn’t many halloween activities we can do. Since he can’t really get hands on in carving a pumpkin, we let him paint one. It’s great for babies to practice their fine motor skills and it was fun for him to get dirty.

And of course we had to take a picture of our little pumpkin with his little pumpkin…

Now for the real costume……

Not sure why I picked this costume, but I’m so glad I did. I think I got the idea from Pinterest where I saw a similar photoshoot.

Meet Woody from Toy Story!

Yes, I’m that mom who’s so extra that she does a whole photoshoot for her child’s first halloween. And who will probably do this for every Halloween until he won’t let me anymore. I Found this costume at Target for $25, but you can also find it online at the Disney store for cheaper. I also purchased the Toy Story toys from Amazon, and was fortunate enough to be able to print out the backdrop from my work’s laser printer, but amazon has back drops like this as well.

And yes, we went trick or treating and mom was able to get her candy 🙂

Until next year, xoxo
