Make Money Online: 10 Easy Ways

10 Easy Ways to Make Money Online

We’re all looking for ways we can make money online, that’s why you clicked on this post.

Although I have a full time job which I am very thankful for, I’m constantly looking for ways I can make some extra money on the side while not taking away time from my 9 month old son.

Whether you’re trying to save for retirement, trying to pay off debt, wanting to save for a much-needed vacation, or just looking to have a little extra spending money, here are 10 easy ways you can make money online!

1. Complete Online Surveys

Completing surveys is one of the easiest ways to make money online. You won’t get rich completing these surveys, but you’ll at least have extra spending money for the weekend!

There are so many sites you can get paid for completing surveys on, one of the most popular ones being Survey Junkie. Setting up an account is fast and easy, and you’re able to start completing surveys immediately. For every survey you complete you will get “virtual points” for and with these points you can trade it in for gift cards or money through PayPal, so make sure you have an account with PayPal to get paid!

Other ways you can complete surveys are through the FeaturePoints app and the Opinion Rewards app by Google– both which I have used. Again, these won’t get you that dream car you’ve always wanted, but the cents do add up and can help pay for your overpriced coffee. FeaturePoints is a free app and setting up an account is extremely easy. There are thousands of surveys you can take, all ranging from different lengths and different pay outs.

Google Opinion Rewards is an easy app as well, but there aren’t may surveys for you to complete. In fact, I only get access to one survey at a time and it isn’t very frequently. The app sends you a notification every time there is a survey available, and its usually only worth a few cents. You’re able to cash out your money after you hit the $2 threshold. Although this app may seem like a waste, what harm does it do being on your phone? I don’t rely on this app for money, but if I can get $2 randomly a month for completing surveys while waiting to check out at a store or in between commercials, I’ll take it.

2. Review & Test Websites

If you’re opinionated and like to share feedback, there are multiple ways you can make money online by doing so.

User Testing asks you to complete a set of tasks and pays you $10 via PayPal for every 20-minute video you complete. Your opinion on user experience allows website owners and developers make any necessary changes to their site.

Testing Time gives you products (usually apps or websites) to test out and asks for you to give your opinion on it before they launch it. Your feedback can be communicated in person or via skype and you can make up to $60/hour!

Slice the Pie asks for you to write reviews on songs, fashion items and commercials before they hit the market in exchange for money. Like User Testing, you will get paid via PayPal once you hit a $10 minimum.

Analysia records your screen and audio while you test a website and pays you via PayPal after completing a task. Tasks usually take around 15-20 minutes and you receive $10 for each task. That’s $30-$40/ hour!

3. Create a YouTube Channel

It’s no secret, you can make A LOT of money from YouTube, and if there’s any good time to start a YouTube channel, NOW IS THE TIME.

With millions of people in quarantine at home, the chance of people coming across your video and watching it has just increased significantly.

Making money online with YouTube can be easy as long as you’re consistent with uploading. You’ll need to create a Google Adsense account, but once that is up and running you can start monetizing your videos with Ads.

Along with making money from ads you can also make money from sponsored videos. Companies can either reach out to you or you to them to sponsor any service or product in a video.

The good thing about YouTube is that you can find a video on pretty much anything, so pick a niche that you’re really interested in and start creating content!

4. Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk)

I actually use this quite often. MTurk is a site by Amazon where you can complete small tasks for payment. Some of the tasks are surveys, data research, data validation and more.

Signing up for an account may take a few days because you’ll need to be approved by Amazon, but once you are approved, you can start working on tasks.

Task completion duration can be anywhere from 5 mins to 30 mins, and you can make up to $20 a task! Payment can be set up to go straight to your bank account or to your amazon payment account.

I don’t use this as much as I used to, but it’s an easy way to earn a few bucks when you’ve got a few minutes to spare. When I first started using MTurk, I spent my lunch hour completing tasks and made $10 each day.

5. Amazon Associates

If you’re on social media, you might have noticed a lot of influencers sharing their Amazon “Must Haves” recently. All items linking to their “amazon store”. Surprise surprise, everytime someone purchases the product they’re linking or in fact ANY product on amazon through their link, they’re getting a percentage.

Unfortunately, you can only sign up for Amazon Associates to promote products on Instagram if you have 10,000 followers. But, there’s a way around it!

If you have a blog, no matter how many views you receive a day, you can sign up for Amazon Associates!

When you sign up with Amazon Associates with your blog, you can only get the HTML code with your link to advertise on your blog. However, there are sites you can convert an HTML code into a URL link so you can post in your Instagram bio, Facebook, or send to anyone to purchase. I use this site to convert all my links.

Everyone uses Amazon, and I’m sure people are always looking for new things to buy. This is an easy way to make money online without buying anything you don’t need and if you are good at advertising products, you’re guaranteed to make a lot of money.

6. Sell On Etsy

There are teenagers out there making $12,000/month from selling stickers online.

If you are unfamiliar with Etsy, it’s an online marketplace for craft-makers. Along with handmade items, you can sell digital products like stickers, invites, and a variety of other custom products.

Etsy is pretty easy to use- the site charges you $0.20/month for each listing and takes a small percentage of each sale. The good thing about custom work is that you can make it any price you’d like, and if it’s something that no one else has anything similar to- you can really make a good buck.

7. Create & Sell An Online Course

There are so many people online looking to learn new things without having to go to school for it.

I graduated college with a marketing degree, but really enjoy photography. Unfortunately, my marketing degree didn’t require any photography classes so I never got the chance to learn more about.

You can create an online course on anything: how to edit pictures on lightroom, how to grow your blog, social media marketing, anything to do with IT, music, fitness- ANYTHING.

The most common ones I see on social media is social media marketing and fitness guides. If you market your course well, you can make good money from it.

8. Start A Blog

If you look up Income Reports on Pinterest, you’d be surprised at how much people make off their blogs.

There’s so many ways you can make money with your blog. You can add advertisements on your page so that every view you get will get you a few cents. Or you can have a company sponsor a post. You can advertise your amazon “must haves” and use your amazon associates link, or you can advertise and sell your own product on your site.

Once you’ve mastered a perfect marketing plan to drive traffic to your blog, you can start making thousands of dollars a month.

9. Online Tutoring

Tutors are needed for every age, every subject and in every country.

There are many websites you can use to become a tutor, the one I use is Cambly. No experience is necessary, but you do have to go through an interview before you can start tutoring. The rate is $.17/minute which comes to $10.20/hour and you get paid every Monday through PayPal.

Tutoring through Cambly is great because you can make your own hours and it’s a great chance to meet people from other parts of the world.

10. Freelance Work

Last on the list of easy ways to make money online: Freelance Work.

Websites like Upwork and Fiverr allows people to make money by doing freelance work. If there’s something that you enjoy doing or something that you are good at- post it and start making money for it!

People are always looking for graphic artists, photo editors, video editors, voice overs, translations, data entry, you name it.

Signing up is super easy, and you can get paid after each job you finish. There are no costs to signing up, however like Etsy, Upwork and Fiverr take a percentage of each sale.

These were just 10 easy ways you can make money online out of thousands. I hope this post gives you an idea of the types of things you can do in your spare time to make some easy money online.
