So I didn’t expect this post to get as much attention as it did the past few months, and I’ve been getting A TON of emails & messages on IG asking for help finding links. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to get back to every single message and a lot of the items below may be unavailable, so I decide to spend the day to find other active links and share it with you.

I’ve been seeing people buy designer dupes from DHGate more each day, but I’m also seeing a lot of people getting scammed from this site as well.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with DHGate, it’s a site where you can purchase goods from China. You can find anything from designer dupes to jewelry, electronics to home decor. DHGate is like Amazon on crack. you’ll find yourself scrolling on the site for hours.
One of the reasons DHGate has become popular is because of the pricing- since you are buying directly from China, everything is a lot cheaper. Another reason it’s become more popular is because you can easily buy designer dupes without having to take a trip to China Town, NYC.
Ordering from DHGate can be difficult as there are many suppliers on the site that aren’t verified sellers that could potentially screw you over. After reading a lot of horror stories about never receiving their product or getting the wrong item, I wanted to share this post on how you can spot designer dupes on Dhgate.
How To Spot Designer Dupes on DHgate
There’s going to be 2 parts to this post: first, I’m going to share how to find the best designer dupes and how to see if it’s a legit supplier you are buying from. The second part of this post will be links to items in case you don’t want to do the work of searching for them.
When you first log onto DHGate, this is the page you are greeted with. If you are looking for designer handbag dupes you’ll have to scroll over “bags” in the categories section to the left and select “fashion bags” on the pop out box.
Once you click on “fashion bags”, this will be the page you see. One the left hand side you can narrow down your search to the type of bag you are looking for. Across the top there are filters (that I normally don’t use) and the right of the filters you will see two different buttons that will change the view layout of the page.
Before diving into the products, selecting this first viewing option from the top right makes it so much easier. When you’re viewing products with the “list view”, you’re able to see how many orders have been placed for the product just from the viewing page. If you see products that don’t have many orders, there’s a chance that it isn’t a legit buyer.
Once you are on the “list view”, you can choose to sort it by best selling or you can just scroll and take a look at everything. Some things to look at when you see a product is obviously the price, how many orders and how many reviews they have, and what their positive feedback percentage is. Just for the purpose of this post, I selected this first one I see.
The first thing you’ll notice is that this looks like it’s just a plain brown leather planner. Majority if not all suppliers photoshop their images so you cannot see the print of it. Since selling counterfeit good is illegal, having listings that hides the print saves the listing from being taken down. This is where the reviews come in handy.
If you scroll all the way down you will see the reviews people have left for this product, and you can see that it’s obviously not the same as the picture they posted on their listing.
Reviews are extremely important to look at before purchasing a product, so make sure you spend a lot of time looking at them. Everyone has their own opinion on how many reviews there needs to be before purchasing a product. For me the amount of orders needs to be high and I need to see multiple reviews with pictures before ordering.
I went back to the search page and looked for another product. A good example of a tricky one is this one.
As you can see there are no logos on the product picture, but there are over 11,000 orders with only 8 reviews. When I clicked on the product it now shows only 20 orders with 8 reviews. If you scroll all the way down to the reviews you will see out of 8 reviews there are no reviews with pictures.
This bag may be a legit designer dupe and could just be a new listing, but I would’t risk spending my money on it.
The good thing about DHGate is that there are hundred of suppliers selling the same bag, so if you really wanted this tan bag with 8 reviews, you can probably find another one with 100 reviews or more.
If you don’t want to keep looking for another similar bag, you can always contact the seller. Contacting the seller can be very helpful… if they actually get back to you on time. I contacted a seller about a product that I ordered and I didn’t hear back until the product arrived at my house.
Some sellers are great with communication. If the pictures on the reviews aren’t convincing you enough to purchase the product, you can always ask the seller to send you a picture of the bag. This is a good option if you are in no hurry to order one.
Along with being in a hurry- a lot of these items take WEEKS if not MONTHS to get to the US, especially now with this virus. A lot of the items will say when it is expected to arrive to the US along with the cost of shipping. In my experience, this is usually accurate. In rare occasions you can get it sooner. If the date has passed and you can’t get a reply from the seller, file a dispute through the site and get your money back!!
The top of the page has a “customer service” button you can click on that will take you to all FAQ’s and how to contact someone from DHGate. I don’t know much about opening a claim because I (thankfully) have never had to file one before.

Shopping on DHGate is simple but just takes time with finding the right seller. DHGate also has designer dupe sunglasses and shoes, just make sure you thoroughly research the vendors on those items as well. I hope this post makes shopping a little easier for you.
