Skip the Lease. Live Anywhere for a Month. Here's How You Can Do It Too

A Week in My Life in Brooklyn with Blueground
If you’ve ever wanted to just pick up and try out a new city without the stress of a year-long lease, furniture shopping, or a mountain of upfront costs—let me put you on to Blueground.
Last month, I spent a week living in a beautiful 3-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn, and I booked the entire stay through Blueground. If you haven’t heard of them yet, Blueground offers fully furnished, move-in-ready apartments in over 48 cities around the world—from NYC to Paris to Dubai. You can stay for a month, a year, or longer—and the best part? You can book today and move in tomorrow. No long applications. No furniture hauls. No stress.
Why I Chose Blueground
With remote work giving me the flexibility to work from anywhere, I’ve been wanting to try out living in different cities without the full commitment. I booked my Brooklyn stay through Blueground because I wanted to see what it’d be like to actually live here for a bit, not just visit. Turns out… it’s stunning, but I’m not a winter-in-the-city type of girl 😅
But that’s the beauty of it—you try a city, feel it out, and if it’s not for you? Move on to the next one. I’m currently thinking Lisbon or Barcelona for my next adventure 👀
The Apartment
The space itself was a dream. Bright, modern, and fully furnished by a professional interior designer. The kitchen was stocked with everything I needed—pots, pans, plates, utensils. I didn’t have to buy a single thing. I worked from the apartment all week (the Wi-Fi was great), had a few friends over, and explored different parts of Brooklyn in between meetings and editing.
Each of the three bedrooms had floor-to-ceiling windows and large closets—one even had a corner view overlooking Barclays Center. Both bathrooms were full-sized with amazing lighting (aka a content creator’s dream).

What Makes Blueground Different
Unlike traditional renting, where you’re dealing with application wait times, broker fees, and then furnishing an entire place, Blueground wraps everything into one simple process. You just book online and show up with your suitcase. That’s it.
Their apartments are designed for flexibility and comfort. Whether you’re relocating, working remotely, or just want to test out a new city for a few months, this is truly the easiest way to do it. And if you end up staying longer (12 months or more), their Live@Blueground program gives you access to the best rates and even lets you freeze your rent while you travel or visit home.
Plus, everything is handled in one place—their app is fully digital and lets you manage your entire stay, from booking to checking out. It even gives you access to perks like gym passes, on-demand fitness, and wine delivery (yes, really).

Would I Do It Again?
Absolutely. Blueground gave me the freedom to live like a local, figure out if Brooklyn was for me, and do it all without the usual stress of moving. It felt like home—without the hassle.
