Affordable Christmas Decor: 2021 Trends

affordable christmas decor

Although my last affordable Christmas decor post was in 2019 (I promise I decorated last year), I’m trying to get this years post up early! If you want to check out 2019’s post, you can view it HERE.

I love decorating for the holidays but feel like my style changes every year. What I loved in 2019 might not necessarily be what I’m loving this year. I try to stick to affordable decor that can easily be replaced without breaking the bank and anything that is of higher value I try to buy in a color/design I think I will love for a few years. Because of my ever-changing taste in home decor, I wanted to share some of my favorite affordable Christmas decor I’ve been loving this year.

*Most of these items have been ordered so I will update this post with images on how I style them once I receive them!*

If you haven’t already noticed from the aesthetic of my blog or Instagram feed- I’ve been loving neutrals. Although a lot of my regular home decor doesn’t really match this aesthetic (thanks to hubby’s furniture), I’m slowly updating it and swapping out things for a more clean and modern look.

Although I love my neutrals, I still love the pops of red or green for the holidays- it really does add to the joy of Christmas! Here are some decor pieces from last year that are staying:

Naughty / Nice/ Merry Christmas pillows. I love these throw pillows for our couch! Adds color to our living room and love that they don’t match one another. Since I got these 2 year ago (I believe at Hobby Lobby), I don’t think they’re available anymore. I’ll link other options below!

I’m obsessed with Target’s Hearth & Hand by Magnolia brand- all their items are stunning! If I can find another spot for my couch pillows I would definitely get some from their line- I’m considering trading in the pops of red for green this year!

Living Room Decor:

Stocking Holder
Tree Collar
Clear Ornaments
Candle Holders
Knit Blanket
White Ornaments
Foliage Snowflake Pillow
Striped Pillow
Good Tidings Pillow
Merry Pillow
Faux Cedar & Berries Vase
Short Candle
Tall Candle

Hot Chocolate/Coffee Bar. This image went viral (still is going viral) on Pinterest. Although I love the idea of a coffee bar, I just don’t have the counterspace for it. We purchased a Breville Espresso Machine since last Christmas and between that, our other coffee machine and our mug stand- it looks way too crowded. I’m swapping this stand out for a cute kettle, 2 red mugs and a little fake plant from Target. Cute, but not over the top.

For the rest of the kitchen:

Mini Marshmallow Stirrer
Peppermint Stirrer
Candy Cane Straws
3 Pk Kitchen Towels
2 Pk Multi Stripe Kitchen Towels
Glass Soap Dispenser
Mug Tree
Oven Mitt
Single Multi Stripe Kitchen Towel
Red Mug
Holiday Stripes Mug
Kettle
Spoon Rest
Faux Plant

I don’t normally decorate our bedroom for the holidays but I feel like we haven’t changed up our room since we moved in- it might be time for some change! Here’s what I’m thinking of picking up:

Green Throw Blanket
Tan Throw Pillow
Tan ‘C’est Noel Pillow
Small Pine Tree
Rope Baskets
Faux Red Berry Arrangement
Bowl Candle
Wooden Snowman
Balsam & Cedar Diffuser
