I’m always looking for trendy ways to wrap gifts around the holidays because I feel like it makes your gift stand out!
I know wrapping gifts isn’t for everyone, and some people geniunely hate it (I guess that’s why they invented gift bags). I’ve always loved wrapping gifts- in fact when I was a kid I would always wrap random things I found laying around the house to give to my parents for Christmas, just to be able to wrap something.
It was always just plain Christmas wrapping paper and a bow on top, but once I received a gift wrapped differently, It all changed from there!
In this post, I’m sharing some of the trendiest ways to wrap gifts along with some of the prettiest wrapping paper and bows that I’ve seen! If you want to take your gift wrapping skills to the next level, then this post is for you!

Christmas Sweater Vibes
This wrapping paper is very similar to the typical Christmas Sweater! I can’t find this exact one but found a few similar rolls if you are looking to go for this look. It pairs beautifully with velvet ribbon and I absolutely love that they added a red bell!
Craft Paper & Velvet
One thing I’ve noticed that is very trendy now is adding something other than a ribbon on a gift. I’ve seen bells used for a while but just recently saw leaves/branches, wooden cutouts, ornaments and candy canes. Usually when there are little accessories added to the gift, the wrapping paper is kept plain. I love the look of the kraft paper- it’s affordable, easy to find and if you choose to write on it, it’ll be visible!
Classy Red
If you’re not the best wrapper, this may be your favorite! Gift bags can sometimes look tacky so I think these gift boxes are an elegant way to give gifts without wrapping them! I love the simplicity of the white ribbon- looks great against the red and looks so classy!
Black & White
The opposite of classic red or snowflake wrapping paper- back and white! Looks very modern and is perfect for any occasion, not just for Christmas. Love the subtle polka dots against the stripes from the ribbon!
Polka Dots & Stripes
Stripes and polka dots may not look the best when worn together but it sure does look pretty under the Christmas tree! My favorite one is definitely the black polka dots with green ribbon. So classy!
Neutrals
Can be used for any holiday/special occasion and not just for Christmas! Can’t go wrong with keeping it neutral (also, LOVE the look of it).
Textured Ribbon
Doubling the ribbon looks great especially when there it’s textured. Love the glitter ribbon and lace ribbon combo! Would probably look great with red glitter ribbon as well.
